Inspired by Chinese Taoism and mythology... Mu Gong is the Chinese Taoist God of Immortality and the embodiment of Yang (the male element). His wife, Xi Wang-Mu, is the female element Yin. Together they created the heaven and the earth and everything that lives. They sit next to eachother, a comfortable union. I then etched symbols of strength and harmony into the clay, adding coils and torn slabs for a texture you just need to touch.
